The Initiatives Oversight Committee (IOC) provides general oversight for the coordination and development of air quality strategies necessary to promote the implementation of the Grand Canyon Visibility Transport Commission's recommendations. The IOC oversees the development of other air quality policies and strategies at the direction of the WRAP, refers issues to forums, reviews recommendations from forums and makes recommendations to the WRAP.
The IOC membership consists of representatives from three tribes, three states, a federal land manager, and EPA representative, and two representatives each from the environmental and industrial communities, State and tribal members of the IOC have three year staggered terms. Federal, environmental and industry members are also appointed for three year terms.
