Technical Oversight Committee: Meetings & Calls

WRAP Technical Conference
July 9-10 , 2002, Denver, CO

Final Presentations

Final Agenda: PDF or DOC

The Technical Oversight Committee of the WRAP is hosting a 2-day workshop on July 9-10, 2002 in Denver, Colorado. The TOC is hosting this workshop to review and discuss the technical findings of visibility analyses to support decisions by state and tribal air managers, policy-makers, federal agencies, the environmental and business communities, and representatives of other regional planning organizations. WRAP Technical Forum Co-Chairs and associated contractors will present technical findings to participants, and answer questions.

Specifically, the workshop will provide comprehensive emissions and air quality technical information about visibility impairment for states and tribes interested in evaluating the choice of using the option of federal Clean Air Act §309 for their regional haze implementation plans. In addition, the technical information presented will begin to lay the foundation for regional haze implementation plans under CAA §308. The first day will discuss the nature of visibility impairment across the WRAP region, and summarize the sources and causes of regional haze from emissions and air quality modeling perspectives. The remainder of the first and the morning of the second day will focus on the details of emissions inventories and visibility modeling. The afternoon of the second day will focus on emerging technical areas of emphasis.
