309 STIP-II Work Group: About

The objective of the STIP-II Work Group is to create a model SIP/TIP (State Implementation Plan / Tribal Implementation Plan, referred to as “STIP”) to facilitate the development of regional haze implementation plans by states that need to meet the December 31, 2003 submittal deadline in Section 51.309(c) of the federal haze rule, as well as tribes that elect to adopt tribal implementation plans (TIPs) under Section 501.309(d). This project will be conducted by a staff person from the State of Oregon, with part-time staff assistance from the State of New Mexico, who will consult on tribal needs and issues related to TIP development. Both the STIP Coordinator and TIP Consultant will work closely with the WRAP Technical Coordinator and a temporary workgroup established by the Air Manager’s Committee in developing this model 309 STIP.
