Research and Development Forum Fugitive Dust Workshop
Windblown and Mechanically Entrained Road Dust
December 14, 2000, Las Vegas, NV
Description: At this one-day WRAP-sponsored interactive workshop, nationally recognized air quality experts from both the private and public sectors will present their findings regarding the best methods for developing a scientifically robust emission inventory for local as well as distant sources of fugitive windblown dust and mechanically resuspended paved and unpaved road dust that contribute to the degradation of regional air quality and visibility. The experts will also summarize the limitations of the recommended methodology and identify information gaps. Attendees will then be given the opportunity to interact with the experts to develop a list of recommendations for future research activities that will lead to better fugitive dust estimation techniques and improved air quality modeling.
