Locomotive and Diesel Marine ANPR
The EPA has issued an advanced notice of proposed rulemaking for control of emissions from new locomotive engines and new marine compression-ignition engines less than 30 liters per cylinder. Comments are due to the EPA by August 30, 2004.

Final Tier 4 Offroad Engine and Fuel Regulation
This final rule will result in significant health, visibility, and other environmental improvements.  For a copy of the rule, fact sheets, and other information, please visit the EPA website. For a graph of some of the emission benefits, please click on one of the following links:  sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and fine particulate matter. The rule should be published in the Federal Register by the end of May.

EPA Finalizes Revision to Haze Rule to Correct Mobile Source Provisions
The EPA has taken final action to approve a correction to the mobile source provisions of Section 309 of the regional haze rule. The changes promulgated are essentially the same as those proposed on July 3, 2003. The final rule, proposed rule, and related documents are posted below.
