Subject: Logistics, Draft Agenda 12/6-7 WRAP Communications Committee

Hello all. Here are some final logistical considerations for our WRAP Communications Committee meeting next week.

1. LOCATION
We will convene 12/6 at 11 a.m. at Bldg. "T 989" near Fort Point, on the Presidio of San Francisco. Here is a link to a map of the Presidio: http://www.nps.gov/goga/maps/pdf/map-prsf.pdf. To check out our meeting location on this .pdf file, go to the top of the map, which is labeled" Fort Point" (the Golden Gate Bridge is just above the Fort). You'll see a Warming Hut just to the east near "Torpedo Wharf." When you enlarge the map to 100%, you can view individual buildings. Ours is the second of two buildings north of the Warming Hut. There is parking at the West Bluff picnic area below the Warming Hut; the picnic area is right on the Bay! This map can be printed off the web on 8.5x11 paper.

2. AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION
Both San Francisco International (SFO) and Oakland airports are a short drive to the Presidio. Super Shuttle offers van service directly from the airport to your destination. At SFO, Super Shuttle departs regularly from the airport upper level, at a cost of about $20. If you are at Oakland, you must make a reservation in advance for a Super Shuttle van departing from that airport: (415) 558-8500. The Oakland Shuttle is around $25.

3. SCHEDULE
Monday 12/6: convene 11 a.m.; a working picnic lunch will be provided. You may want to DRESS WARMLY, in layers. Adjourn at 4:30 p.m.; the Committee will meet for dinner at 6:30 (back to Scoma's?). Tuesday 12/7: convene at 8:30 a.m. thru adjournment at 12:30 p.m. Those who wish will gather for lunch (back to the Cliff House?). A draft agenda is attached. Please note that the format is more open this year. Blocks of time have been dedicated to internal and external communications, with specific elements listed within the blocks. We will determine how much time to devote to elements within a block when we review the agenda each morning.

4. PHONE PARTICIPANTS
Call-in number: either (800) 771-7760 or (312) 461-9324; participant code 295415. Note: during the working lunch on 12/6 (approx. noon - 1 p.m.) we will be picnicking on the Bay without access to phone connections.

5. ATTENDING
In person: (14): Dan Clark, Barry Aarons, Lisa Riener, Al Zemsky, Judy Rocchio, Cyra Cain, Sandra Sac Parker, Kathy Van Dame, Karen Deike, Sean Smith, Brad Bissey, Jan Miller, Pat Port, Krista Canellakis (Pat Port's office). Participating by phone (7): Pat Murdo, Patrick Cummins, Lee Alter, Don Arkell, Carl Bowman, Tom Moore, Trisha Frank; possibly Jay Littlewolf, Lori Fussell. Confirmed total: 21

6. ACCOMMODATIONS
Most of the Committee will be staying at the Coventry Motor Inn, 1901 Lombard St., San Francisco (between Webster and Buchanan Sts.). Phone 415 567-1200. The Coventry Inn offers free parking.

7. TRANSPORTATION FROM THE HOTEL TO THE MEETING LOCATION
Judy Rocchio has come through again, and will be driving a 12-passenger National Park Service van. The Rocchio Express will depart the Coventry Motor Inn on Monday, 12/6 at 10:30 a.m. If you miss the van, it is a short taxi ride to the meeting location.

8. CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS PRIOR TO THE MEETING
Al will be at his office through 11/30 (415 972-3983). Judy can be reached at her office 12/1 thru 12/3 (510 817-1431).

9. ATTACHMENTS
Attached are a draft agenda and a document that Pat Murdo has kindly developed to help focus our discussions regarding various Committee priorities. Please review the agenda, particularly if you will be a key contributor to a particular agenda item.
