Workshop Objectives
- Support for and (re)approval of the WRAP Work Plan – changes?
- RH implementation and tracking
- Ongoing technical projects
- Other regional technical assistance that WRAP can provide
- Funding needs
- General plan to carry the message of member support for WRAP to EPA
- The success story of RPOs in general and WRAP in particular
- OAQPS (later this year – as part of 1c)

Topic 1: A clear understanding of what it will take to finish BART and get the SIPs submitted
- Timing
- What can WRAP do to assist
- Plan to communicate actions and timing of SIP completion to EPA and other interested parties
Topic 2: Present & future WRAP work – regional analysis support for air quality planning in the West
- Review summary of technical needs for:
- Assisting with haze plan review/approval;
- Tracking progress on regional haze implementation;
- Monitoring and analyses for ozone attainment designations and planning;
- Special monitoring studies for ozone, PM2.5, regional haze, and nitrogen deposition;
- Developing and updating regional emissions data, and
- Conducting regional modeling and analysis studies.
- Discuss air quality implementation and planning needs and funding necessary to support those needs:
- Timeline(s) for deliverables in the 2009-13 time frame;
- Type and detail of regional analysis support;
- Coordination with ongoing and planned State/Tribal/Local/Federal regulatory activities; and
- Expectations about deliverables and funding status over the 2009-10 timeframe.
- Discuss restructuring of WRAP Committees, Forums, and Workgroups to address WRAP member needs:
- Review revised organizational structure options;
- Identify Committee/Forum/Workgroup leadership, missions, and activities;
- Align activities of WRAP Committees/Forums/Workgroups with other organizations (WESTAR,
NTEC, et cetera); and
- Review WRAP staff support activities.
Deliverable: Taking these tasks in a revision of the existing WRAP 2008-09 workplan, and proposed changes
to the organizational structure, to the Board. – when? |
