Air Monitoring and Reporting Forum: Natural Conditions Sensitivity Analysis

DRAFT: Natural Haze Levels Sensitivity Assessment of Refinements to Estimates of Natural Conditions PDF (6.8 MB, 11/27/07) and Sensitivity Calculator XLS by Ivar Tombach
This report presents an extensive analysis of how particulate component concentrations under natural conditions are being currently estimated and how improvements might be made in those estimates when appropriate. The process used to determine the needed rate of reduction in haze from current measured conditions to estimated natural conditions in 2064 is thoroughly reviewed. The result is a description of what the officially-calculated (default) natural conditions look like, what might be done to make those descriptions more realistic, and how much value there might be in doing so.
