A room block has been reserved at the La Posada de Santa Fe Resort and Spa for the nights of November 10 with a few rooms on November 11. Guest room rates are $86.00 per night. For room reservations please call the hotel at 1-800-727-5276 or 505-986-0000 and reference “WESTAR/WRAP” in order to receive this contracted rate. Rooms will be held in the block until October 10.
Albuquerque-Santa Fe-Albuquerque Transportation Options
The La Posada is located about 60 miles from the Albuquerque airport. Sandia Shuttle provides transportation to/from the Albuquerque airport. The toll free number for Sandia Shuttle is (888) 775-5696 or direct (505) 474-5696. Reservations can be made on-line at www.sandiashuttle.com. The cost is $25.00 one way or $45.00 round trip. Travel time is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Roadrunner Shuttle also provides transportation to/from the Albuquerque airport. The phone number for reservations is 505-424-3367. The cost is $25.00 one way or $45.00 round trip. They do not have a web site but are very accommodating with schedules. Roadrunner shuttle does not make any additional stops from Albuquerque on the way to La Posada.
Both shuttle companies are located on the baggage claim level at the Albuquerque airport across from baggage claim #3.
The New Mexico Rail Runner in Albuquerque also provides train service to/from Santa Fe. This is not door to door service and travel time will be longer than shuttle service. Upon arriving at the Albuquerque airport you would take the “Route 350” free shuttle that leaves the baggage claim area at 5:50am, 7:01am, 10:10am, 3:48pm, 4:57pm and 6:08pm and goes to downtown Albuquerque where you would connect with the train. The train departs from this stop at 4:09am, 5:13am, 6:15am, 7:26am, 10:35am, 4:13pm, 5:22pm and 6:33pm. Train tickets are $8.00 round trip and $6.00 one way. You would take the train to the Santa Fe Depot Rail Yard which is about 90 min. travel time. The La Posada is about 1˝ miles from this stop and you call the hotel direct at 505-986-0000 for shuttle service. The La Posada provides shuttle service back to the Santa Fe Depot Rail Yard upon request for return train trips to Albuquerque. The train departs at 11:30am, 4:10pm, 5:17pm, 6:18pm, 8:15pm, and 9:30pm and travel time is 90 min. You would then need to take a shuttle back to the airport from the downtown Albuquerque train station.
